I don't want to be
So hung up on me
Where my eyes can not see
Another person in need

Instead I'd rather be
A person that takes heed
To another person's plea
And not turn away and flee

I want another to see
'Help' inside of me
A friend true indeed
Trustworthy; guaranteed

So as your seeking to find
A true friend indeed
May you truly see
A friend in me
