To My Husband

Oh so many years ago, we said I do.
Here we are, still side by side
Still doing what lovers do.

I am not going to say it has all been great
For we have had our ups and downs
But with you by my side,
the ups have out weighed the downs.

So honey, as we watch the years
Pass so quickly by
This question I need to ask

Can we celebrate this year,
In a little bit of a different style?

I raise my glass and pray
for no camping, fishing ponds, or golf
No bars, where one can shoot darts

No, I do not want to cook a romantic dinner
Or watch an old movie on TV.

Please take me out to a restaurant
Where someone can wait on me!
